Sports Illustrated: Tom Crean's Big Red Challenge

I recommend you read Jon Wertheim's story on the state of IU basketball.

While it's a story you're quite familiar with by now, Wertheim takes you deep into the turmoil with impressive detail. Best of all, Wertheim was able to do something no one covering the Hoosiers has had any success in lately: getting a hold of Kelvin Sampson.

Wertheim, a Bloomington native and a friend of mine, had been working on this story since the beginning of the summer. Let me know what you think of SI's take.
