This is bizarre.
Earlier this morning, it was reported that someone from Isiah Thomas's was taken to the hospital after overdosing on sleeping pills. At the time, the victim was not identified, but was listed as a 47-year-old male. Thomas is 46.
Sources within the police department confirmed to the New York Post that Thomas was, in fact, the person taken to the hospital. But when the Post reached Thomas on his cell phone this afternoon, Thomas denied he was the one who had taken the pills. Instead, he said his 17-year-old daughter was the one who was taken to the hospital.
"My daughter is very down right now. None of us are OK," he told The Post.
So what really happened? Obviously, this is a private matter and Thomas is not obligated to explain himself, but why instead till what seems to be such a blatant lie? Is Zeke using his daughter to deflect attention? Bizarre.
