Chris Braswell (2009), Marquis Teague (2011) and Spencer Turner (2011) were among several recruits on campus this weekend, as were IU Class of 2009 commits Bobby Capobianco, Maurice Creek and Jordan Hulls.

The recruits particpated in an open gym with the current Hoosiers yesterday afternoon, and although Kyle Taber and Matt Roth weren't participating, the rest of the players--at least the ones on scholarship, to my knowledge--played. I spoke with Capobianco on the phone several hours ago, so expect something in Tuesday's IDS, but here is what he had to say about the guys on this year's squad:

  • Nick Williams: "He's a scorer. He has floaters and these unorthodox shots."
  • Verdell Jones: "Verdell's a really good point guard, has a great shot."
  • Malik Story: "Malik can shoot the ball from about anywhere."
  • Tom Pritchard: "Tom's big on the inside." (early he mentioned TP as a guy who has really improved since he last saw him play)
  • Tijan Jobe: "I really noticed Tijan playing a whole lot better, being stronger inside, just really working a lot harder."
  • Jeremiah Rivers: "I was really, really impressed with Jeremiah Rivers. He is extremely talented. I know he can't play this year, but nonetheless he is very, very, very talented."
  • Devan Dumes: "He is extremely atheltic, he's quick, he makes good decisions."
  • "Everybody looks like they're taking steps in the right direction for sure."
