Mark Dantonio's Michigan State Spartans football team won't be the only guests in town Saturday, Sept. 27. Chris Braswell, a 6-foot-8 power forward former Georgetown commit, will be in Bloomington for an official visit. Braswell, a former Class of 2008 prospect, plays for Hargrave Military Academy and D.C. Triple Threat (AAU), the same teams as future Hoosier Maurice Creek.
Braswell holds nine scholarship offers, but only five of them will officially play host to the former Dematha Catholic star. Xavier will host Braswell next weekend, and then Braswell will head to Maryland, IU, Virginia Tech and Charlotte the following four weekends. Braswell is a four-star recruit according to both Rivals and Scout.com.
In the last couple months, Xavier locked up a former Hoosier and IU recruit (Jordan Crawford and Terrell Holloway), but perhaps now the Hoosiers will get a former Hoya and Georgetown recruit (Jeremiah Rivers and Braswell). Granted, Christian Watford and Angus Brandt seem to be Tom Crean's top three priorities right now, with Braswell and five-star recruit Dominic Cheek maybe being the next two on the list.
