A source close to the team said Jamarcus Ellis and Armon Bassett were not invited to the team meeting with Tom Crean this morning. Former interim coach Dan Dakich kicked Bassett and Ellis off the team Monday.
IU Director of Athletics Rick Greenspan approved Dakich's action. He said it's still possible for the two to be reinstated, since they haven't initiated a stop on their financial aid. Greenspan said he will defer to Crean regarding the two players and will not micromanage the basketball program.
Eric Gordon also did not show up to the meeting but was invited.
