18:49 IU 44 - Wisc. 25 Both teams miss on their first possession before Amber Jackson hits a deep jumper for the Hoosiers' first points of the half. Whitney Thomas picks up a foul, but misses both freebies.
15:33 IU 52 - Wisc. 28 Wisconsin has 20 - repeat that 20 - turnovers. By contrast, IU has six. That's some bad, bad math if you're on the road in the Big Ten.
14:55 IU 54 - Wisc. 30 Jolene Anderson just scored her first points on a little floater in the lane. Amber Jackson, who sat out most of the first half with two fouls, already has six points in the second frame, though she just missed two free throws.
13:38 IU 30 sec. TO IU 56 - Wisc. 36 Jolene Anderson is starting to find her rhythm, she's got six in the second half after a scoreless first period. In other news, Wisconsin already has six fouls.
12:15 IU 60 - Wisc. 37 Haylie Linn just hit a free throw, then missed another, but the Hoosiers got the rebound and Nikki Smith hit a three. 63-37 IU. My good friend Ryan Dammeyer of the Bloomington Herald-Times just pointed out to me that freshman forward/center Georgia Follmer is not with the team tonight. We'll try to get you more about that after the game.
9:45 IU 63 - Wisc. 44 Anderson is heating up, but it looks far too late. Whitney Thomas is at the line shooting one-and-one, and IU will be in the double bonus on the next Wisconsin foul. Thomas hits both, 65-44 IU.
8:36 IU 67 - Wisc. 46 To illustrate better something we've been tracking all game, Jeremy Gray from the IU Radio Network just said IU has 30 points off Wisconsin turnovers tonight.
6:47 IU 71 - Wisconsin 49 It's time for the flags at the TV timeout, and the Hoosiers are firmly in control. Jolene Anderson is on fire in the second half, with 13 points so far. But that's also her total for the game, and not much else is going right for the Badgers. The Hoosiers, by contrast, have four players in double figures, led by Whitney Thomas' 16.
2:37 IU 82 - Wisconsin 57 Amber Jackson just hit a layup to put this game to rest once and for all, and coach Jack is sending in Bloomington native and walk-on guard Lydia Serfling. The Hoosiers have thoroughly dominated this game, and though Jolene Anderson has 21, all in the second half, that's about the only positive the Badgers can take from a game where they were outplayed in nearly every category on the stat sheet.
Final Score IU 86 - Wisc. 62 Jolene Anderson burned the nets down with 25 points in the second half, but it wasn't nearly enough. IU ran away with this game early, then held Wisconsin at bay even when Anderson heated up. We're in the press room now, I'll be back for some final thoughts after we finish postgame pressers.
Look for a post later linking to the three articles we'll have about the Hoosiers into tomorrow's IDS, including a wrap of tonight's game. Until then, take care folks.
