The Hoosiers are ranked 12th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll after two victories on the road last week against Illinois and Ohio State. In the AP Poll, the writers of America have voted the Hoosiers No. 13. IU has the most difficult schedule of any ranked team this week as the Hoosiers face-off against top-15 foes Wisconsin and Michigan State.
Memphis retained the No. 1 spot in both polls as the Tigers have a 23-0 record. Duke, Kansas, Tennessee and North Carolina round out the top five.
Rankings of Note (Coaches/AP) Michigan State (9/10) Butler (10/9) Xavier (13/12) Wisconsin (14/15) Connecticut (17/17) Notre Dame (18/20) Purdue (23/19)
How does that ranking sit with the Hoosier faithful? IU has a run of three home games against ranked opponents with Wisconsin, Michigan State and Purdue visiting Assembly Hall in the next 8 days. No longer will people think IU has a weak schedule, but can the Hoosiers prove they can beat a highly-ranked team late in the season?
