The IU men's basketball team moved to No. 12 in both major national polls today after winning games last week against Purdue and Northwestern.

Bruce Pearl, many fan's favorite to take over next year for the Hoosiers, and his Tennessee Vols are No. 1 for the first time in school history after defeating former No. 1 Memphis last week. The Tigers fell to No. 2 in the AP poll and No. 3 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll behind North Carolina. UCLA and Kansas round out the top 5.

Also, with tournament time quickly approaching, IU's RPI ranking is No. 19. Wednesday I am going to dig a bit deeper into IU's possible seeding after the results of the Ohio State game.
