Hey folks,

Second post of the day here for ya. Above is the Big Ten Network's wrap of the IU-Illinois in convenient video form.

The Hoosiers dropped a tough one on the road today, losing 73-62 at Illinois. The Illini controlled the game most of the way, and the Hoosiers shots just weren't falling, as IU shot just 33 percent from the floor. Check my wrap in tomorrow's IDS for more about the game.

That likely puts a dent in their tournament chances, as I think the Hoosiers have to either steal their road date with Minnesota or defeat conference favorite Ohio State at home as well as take care of business in all their other games to get into the NCAAs.

A couple of random thoughts: -Whether they make the tournament this year or not, the Hoosiers have certainly put together an impressive season for a team with so little experience. Though I'm sure they won't admit it, to go from a unanimous ninth in the Big Ten preseason to the position they've put themselves in right now is a fine achievement, and I have to believe that at least the WNIT will be in their future. -Whatever happens at the end of this season, the future also looks bright for the Hoosiers. Losing Nikki Smith after this year means losing some solid senior leadership, but returning Whitney Thomas, Amber Jackson, Jamie Braun and Kim Roberson and turning all those freshmen into sophomores should give the Hoosiers a lot to look forward to next October. -I'll be at Coach Jack's weekly radio show tomorrow night at 8 p.m. in the Hoosier Den at Foster Quad doing some live blogging. Tune in here or come on out there, either way, look forward to seeing you.
