Speaking to his players after practice today, Bill Lynch tried to fire them up by telling them this Saturday's game against Purdue will be a sellout - the first of the year at Memorial Stadium. Upon hearing this, the players let out a roar and proceeded to head to the locker room.
After speaking with Doug Wilson, of the Herald Times, and Jeff Keag of IU media relations, the game is not yet a sellout but is expected to be. With the Purdue game being one of the Hoosiers biggest in years, the battle for the Old Oaken Bucket will take on new meaning. Ten teams in the Big Ten are bowl eligible, and it is likely that the Hoosiers will need seven wins in order to qualify for a bowl game.
Is this the biggest game for the Hoosiers in years? Will the Hoosiers get in to a bowl if they only have six wins? Are you going to the game, or how forward are you looking toward it? We'd love to hear your thoughts.
