The Hoosiers went from the cusp of being ranked to not being on anyones radar. In both the AP and Coaches RANKINGS IU received NO votes.
IU also dropped three spots in the Big Ten Network's POWER RANKINGS, going from 6th to 9th. Perhaps an even more discouraging sign is that the Hoosiers two Big 10 wins came against the two teams ranked lower than them in said power rankings.
Giving up 52 points will do that to a teams image.
I still think of the Hoosiers as dangerous. But if they want fans and experts alike to think of them as a good team they'll need to prove that they can contain a good running back, forget about trying to completely stop one. But IU still has a couple of more wins in them. I still think they'll play 13.
The rankings tell you what the so called experts think, and I gave you my two cents. But what about the fans? How is the de-pantsing in East Lansing going to affect this team? How is it going to affect the crowd support for homecoming? Do you still think they're going to a bowl destination that doesn't rhyme with Beloit? (If that's a word.) Do you still think they're going bowling in general?
