Hoosier Hysteria, the annual kick-off practice for the men's and women's basketball teams, will take place Friday October 12th. The doors will open at 5:30 and then there will be a women's volleyball match at 7 p.m.
According to the official press release, "the activity will continue with an autograph session with both the men's and women's team and then each squad will take the floor for their first official practice session of the season." So when the team will take the floor is uncertain right now. Details should be sent out in the coming weeks.
For those of you who have never been to Hoosier Hysteria, it is the first official "practice" of the season. However, I doubt that a usual Coach Sampson practice includes dunk contests, three-point shootouts and run-n-gun, crowd-pleasing scrimmages. From a fan's perspective, it is a good time to see the new Hoosiers.
There is a $5 admittance fee for the event. You can also get in by donating two canned goods at the door to benefit the Hoosier Hills Food Bank.
