After their practice on Thursday Coach Lynch had an interesting take on why his team is leading the nation in sacks through the first two weeks.

He credited the offense's ability to jump ahead to large leads, which forced both Western Michigan and Indiana State to throw the ball the majority of the game. Knowing the opposition was going to have to throw, the defense has been able to tee off on the quarterbacks. Lynch compared this to how the world champion Indianapolis Colts defense are able to generate a lot of sacks.

I don't feel like Lynch was trying to compare the Hoosier offense to the Colts, (and lord knows Kellen Lewis isn't in every football ad not starring John Mellencamp, unlike Peyton) But it was still an interesting take on the matter.

I'm a Bears fan, so not only did this post make me throw up a little bit in my mouth, but I KNOW several of you out there watch the Champs a lot more than I do. My question to all you Indy fans out there is do you see similarities in the Colts and the Hoosiers? Let's talk
