The Basketblog will be making the trip north to Noblesville Wednesday night to catch a glimpse of the IU recruits barnstorming tour.

The game, which is at Noblesville High School at 7 p.m., will feature all six IU recruits: Eric Gordon, Eli Holman, Jamarcus Ellis, DeAndre Thomas, Jordan Crawford and Brandon McGee.

Zach Osterman, the IDS's summer editor-in-chief and fall sports editor, will be making the trip as well. If there is any kind of internet access in the Noblesville gym we will blog live, if not, I promise the best game report in history of sports journalism. Or at least a really, really long one.

The Indy Star's Terry Hutchens wrote in his blog that former IU star Tom Coverdale is helping organize the game. I'm crossing my fingers for a Coverdale comeback Wednesday night.

There is a 25 percent chance Tyler Zeller will be a Hoosier Jody Demling of the Louisville Courier-Journal is reporting that Washington center Tyler Zeller has narrowed his college recruitment to four schools: Indiana, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Purdue.

Zeller said that there are no favorites at this point and that he is planning official visits to all four schools. He hopes to make a decision sometime this fall.

The 6-foot-11 class of 2008 center is one of the top prospects in the country, let alone the state. The Hoosiers have upped their recruitment of the in-state product of late. Kelvin Sampson traveled to Las Vegas last weekend to watch Zeller's AAU team, the Indiana Elite compete, along with several other prospects.

No circus, but Sampson to speak at State Fair I've always said that IU Day at the State Fair would not be complete until it featured Kelvin Sampson in a pep rally. It looks like someone finally started listening.

Coach Sampson will be speaking Aug. 9 at the fair from 4:15 - 5 p.m. at the Home and Family Arts Building Stage on Expo Hall Street, according to the press release. In addition, new IU president Michael McRobbie, the IU Marching Hundred and the IU cheerleaders will be in attendance.
