Greetings and thanks for checking out the inagural post of the Little 500 blog which we have titled "Blogging Away." (A little cheesy, I know, but it gets the job done.) For those of you new to Little 5, the title is in reference to the 1979 Oscar-winning movie "Breaking Away."
Enough with the history lesson. We want to use this blog to update, inform and discuss all aspects of the race with our readers. So whether you are a student, a rider, an alum or an alumni coach, we hope you check us out often and comment frequently. Who knows, maybe we might even be as popular as other Little 500 Web sites.
The three writers who will be filling out info on this blog are myself (Michael, women's writer), Chris (men's writer) and Jake (columnist).
Qualifications are approaching this Saturday and we wanted to know who you all think the favorites are heading into this year's race. Can Cutters capture the pole again? Who will emerge as the dominant rider in the women's race? And what do you guys think about the new coaching rule? Let us know in the comments below.
