Teen Art Program Volunteer

Teens at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington’s Ferguson Crestmont Club are looking for volunteers to assist them with their Teen Art Program. Arts and crafts activities will vary from week to week and provide a healthy outlet for emotional expression, stress relief, and identity development during a critical stage of growth. Volunteers will participate in arts and crafts activities alongside the youth, help with supplies, answer questions, and provide encouragement. No previous experience is required.

Kitchen Assistants

Are you looking to make a direct impact in the lives of the most vulnerable in your community? Beacon, INC.’s Shalom Center day shelter provides free meals to people experiencing poverty in Bloomington. This vital and life-saving service is offered every day the Shalom Center is open, Monday through Friday. Kitchen Assistants are needed to help staff serve an average of 60 breakfasts and 120 lunches per day. A variety of shifts are available, and training is provided on site.

Bloomington Clubhouse Launch Team

The NAMI Greater Bloomington Area Chapter, Centerstone, and Clubhouse International are teaming up to bring a Clubhouse to Bloomington. The Clubhouse is “a world-renowned, evidence-based community where individuals with severe mental illness get their needs met and also feel needed as well.” Individuals interested in supporting the establishment of a Clubhouse in Bloomington are invited to join the Bloomington Clubhouse Launch team.

New Hope for Families Wish List

Help New Hope for Families support families in our community navigating the crisis of homelessness by fulfilling a wish from their wish list. Wish list items include bed linens and blankets, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, and various cookware.
