After a historic undefeated season, the 2026-27 Indiana football season is about to begin. This is what you need to know to have a seamless experience cheering on the Hoosiers.
Tickets
The 2026-27 Indiana football season tickets are currently sold out, and fans are directed to join the official season ticket waitlist for updates on availability. However, resale tickets are available on SeatGeek, IU’s only official resale marketplace.
This season, Indiana Athletics changed the process of purchasing season tickets for students, now allowing tickets for only five of the eight home games. Now, students must claim tickets to games in three claim periods. The first claim period occurred Aug. 12-13 and the second claim period occurred Aug. 26-27, allowing students to select two out of the three home games in that period to attend. The final claim period is Sept. 30-Oct. 1, allowing students to claim either the Oct. 17 game against Ohio State or the Nov. 14 game against USC.
Previously, students were allowed to attend every home game with a season pass.
Parking
Navigating parking on game days can be overwhelming. Fortunately, there are several parking options available.
Grass lot parking opens a minimum of five hours before kickoff and is located in The Grass Reserved, Park Avenue and Forrest Avenue grass lots just south of Memorial Stadium. You must obtain a parking pass in advance to park in these spaces. While parking passes are sold out, resale tickets can be purchased at SeatGeek.
Don’t have a parking pass? Parking is available at the Union Street Grass Lot, the Union Court Grass Lot and the Fee Lane Garage for $50 per car first-come, first-served. The Atwater Garage offers free parking with a game-day shuttle available up to three hours before the game and two hours after.

Tailgating
If you are interested in tailgating prior to the game, make sure to follow the rules and be respectful and courteous.
Ensure that you are not blocking the drive aisle or occupying extra spaces with your tailgate. No weapons, box trucks, outside catering services or littering are permitted.
Tailgating spaces are available in designated grass fields and lots near Memorial Stadium.
Inside the stadium
Once inside Memorial Stadium, there are some rules you need to follow to ensure everyone has a safe experience and moves through security more efficiently.
Patrons are permitted one small clutch and one clear bag. Any larger bags, like backpacks or large totes, are not allowed unless you have necessary medical equipment or diaper bags that pass inspection. Diaper bag inspections are conducted at east side gates E2 or E4 and west side gates W2 or W3.
If you get hungry during the game, there are several food and beverage locations inside the stadium. Options include Indiana Sausage Haus, BuffaLouie’s and Chocolate Moose — my personal favorite is Everbowl. Concessions are cashless; credit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay, are accepted.
Homecoming
The Homecoming parade begins at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 30. The parade route starts at Washington Street and ends at Sample Gates.
The Homecoming game against Minnesota takes place Oct. 31; the kickoff time has not been announced.
