Fill the Gap: Brown County Humane Society 

Help Brown County Humane Society (BCHS) care for the homeless pets of Brown County by filling a variety of available volunteer roles. At the Nashville Shelter, volunteers are needed to fill morning animal care shifts and afternoon dog walking shifts. If the Nashville Shelter is too far away, consider helping to care for the shelter’s adoptable cats at the Bloomington Petco.

WildCare, INC. is looking for a volunteer grant writer to assist with sourcing and applying for local, state, and federal grant opportunities. This opportunity is perfect for volunteers looking for a hybrid schedule. Some on-site time is required to understand the work and mission of the organization.

Volunteer with Mobility Aids Lending Library (MALL)

Mobility Aids Lending Library (MALL) matches free, gently used mobility devices to those who cannot afford them or only need them for a short period of time. Help this small nonprofit organization by facilitating equipment pick-ups and drop-offs, or by leading set-up or tear-down of MALL information booths at local community events.
