Indiana men’s soccer announced the signings of five new players in the freshman class, per a release from Indiana Athletics on Thursday. The Hoosiers signed two forwards, two defenders and a goalkeeper.
Forwards:
Indiana signed forwards Michael Adu-Gyamfi and Dempsey Resich. Adu-Gyamfi was born in Accra, Ghana, and was part of the Right to Dream Academy — the same academy Indiana junior forward Collins Oduro advanced through before moving to the United States in 2022. Adu-Gyamfi moved to the United States in 2023 and led Suffield Academy, based in Connecticut, to a New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Class B Championship. He was named the NEPSAC Class B Player of the Year in 2024.

Resich, a Palos Verdes, California, native, is the No. 66-ranked prospect in the class of 2026. He played for LAFC2 in MLS NEXT Pro in 2025, the academy of MLS team Los Angeles FC. Resich finished the season with 36 goals, second nationally at the U17 level.
Defenders:
The two defenders Indiana head coach Todd Yeagley and his staff signed are Sam Hess and Vincent Uglow.
Hess, a Naperville, Illinois, native, is the No. 12 player out of the Midwest region, according to Top Drawer Soccer. He led Naperville North High School to an unbeaten championship run in 2025 as captain.
Uglow, who is from Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, is Top Drawer Soccer’s No. 9-ranked prospect from the Pennsylvania region. Uglow led Penn Fusion Soccer Academy to a U17 Pennsylvania State Cup Championship in 2024 while earning Malvorn Daily Local News first-team All-Area accolades as a senior.
Goalkeeper:
Indiana signed goalkeeper 6-foot-4, Westfield, Indiana, native Ryan Hunsucker. He won the USL Academy League Finals at the Indy Eleven Academy, where he made 11 saves and captured Golden Glove honors in back-to-back years.
