Two separate sexual assaults were reported to the IU Police Department on Sept. 27 and 29.
IUPD Public Information Officer Hannah Skibba said in an email that IUPD was notified Sept. 27 of a sexual assault that occurred at Bradford Woods, IU’s 2500-acre outdoor center, between June 16–20, 2024.
On Sept. 29, IUPD officers responded to a report of sexual assault in Spruce Hall. Skibba said the student was provided medical care and resources but did not wish to pursue criminal charges.
Skibba said both cases are currently under investigation.
Eight sexual batteries and nine rapes have been reported to IUPD since Aug. 21, according to the IUPD crime log.
