OPINION: This week's hot takes

Danny William: Cable television kind of rocks. The writers have to come up with the most deranged plotlines to keep their elderly viewer base entertained, which means a lot of fun for us young people. I sometimes watch this ABC show “Big Sky” with my mom, which makes me laugh so hard. It inexplicably stars Reba McEntire and “Supernatural’s” Jensen Ackles, playing basically Dean Winchester again. And, of course, who can forget about “The Good Doctor.” Shout-out to Dr. Han.

Jared Quigg: Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’” is a better song than anything her father ever did. That’s right. The nepo baby surpassed her father. These boots are going to walk on anyone who disagrees.

Natalie Fitzgibbons: Romanticizing your life needs to be more common. Have that main character energy. Go to that coffee shop and imagine you’re in a rom-com. Go to that farmers market and imagine you’re the protagonist in a movie. Be selfless, but selfish. As much as your actions affect others, your actions also affect you.

Isabella Vesperini: Studying in coffee shops is so unproductive. Most places are so loud and chaotic, and I don’t get how people can focus on their work. Yes, you can zone out with music, but that actually makes it worse for me. I get even more off track when music is added to the mix. It's so easy to get sidetracked with all the people walking in and talking. I know I personally can’t get much done. Sure, there are some exceptions — there are some coffee shops that are more relaxing and low-key — but the majority hinder my concentration.

Gentry Keener: McDonald’s fries are trash. They are too thin and too soggy. I simply think that they are a D-tier fast food fry. I would choose almost any other fry over them. Even hotter take is that Wendy’s fries are S-tier fries if made correctly.
