IU graduates may vote to fill an open seat on the IU Board of Trustees through the month of June. Three IU alumni are running to fill the seat.

Three IU alumni are running to fill an open seat on the IU Board of Trustees. Voting is open to all IU graduates throughout the month of June, according to an IU news release.

The candidates running are Josh Kornberg, who is from Sellersburg, Indiana, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, Sanford S Kunkel, who is from Carmel, Indiana, and holds Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine degrees, and Vivian Winston, who is from Bloomington and holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees.

The winning candidate will replace MaryEllen Bishop, who has decided not to run for re-election. Bishop has held the seat for a decade, according to the news release.

The election is managed by the Dean of University Libraries and the IU Alumni Association. IU alumni elect three members of the Board of Trustees and the governor appoints the other six, including a student trustee.

Graduates can vote or find more candidate information by visiting the trustee election website.
