Comedian Michael Ian Black to perform at the Comedy Attic

Comedian Michael Ian Black will perform multiple sets May 26-28 at the Comedy Attic. Showtimes are 8 p.m. on May 26 and 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on May 27-28. 

Tickets are available on the Comedy Attic website. Student tickets cost $16 and general admission tickets cost $20. 

Black is a comedian, actor, writer, and director. He began his career with "The State," a sketch comedy troupe he co-founded at New York University in 1988, which went on to become an MTV show. Since then, he has worked on other sketch shows such as "Viva Variety," "Stella" and "Michael and Michael Have Issues.”

He has starred in multiplied shows such as TVLand's “The Gaffigan Show,” NBC’s “Ed” and Comedy Central’s “Another Period.” 

Black’s movie roles include “Slash,” “They Came Together,” “Hell Baby,” “This is 40,” “Wet Hot American Summer,” “Take Me Home Tonight,” “Reno 911!: Miami,” “The Ten” and “The Baxter.”

Black wrote and directed the film “Wedding Daze,” starring Jason Biggs and Isla Fisher. He also co-wrote the comedy “Run, Fatboy, Run,” directed by David Schwimmer.

Black’ is also an author, writing books like the best seller, “A Child’s First Book of Trump” and more recently “A Better Man: A (Mostly Serious) Letter to My Son.”
