Netflix star, Peabody winner Hasan Minhaj will give keynote speech at IU Auditorium Dec. 6

IU Union Board will present “A Conversation with Hasan Minhaj” at 7 p.m. on Dec. 6 at IU Auditorium. Minhaj will serve as the keynote speaker in the 2021 Lou Mervis Distinguished Lecture event.

After Minhaj’s speech, Union Board’s co-directors of lectures will moderate a Q&A session.

Minhaj is known for his award-winning comedy show “Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj,” his Netflix comedy special “Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King” and his work on “The Daily Show.” He also hosted the 2017 White House Correspondents Dinner.

The event is free to students but they are only able to reserve up to four tickets at a time. To access the free tickets, students must use the promo code HASANUB when ordering tickets. Student ID will be required for entry to the event.

Faculty and staff tickets are set to go on sale for $25next week. The event is only open to IU students, faculty and staff.
