IU football announced its updated schedule for the 2021 football season on Friday. The schedule was updated to account for six games that adjusted locations due to the COVID-19 pandemic last season, including IU at Michigan State and IU against Michigan.
IU’s first four games remained the same, including its season opener against Iowa on Sept. 4 in Iowa City.
IU’s games against Penn State and Ohio State were switched on the schedule, with the former now being played at Penn State on Oct. 2 and the latter being scheduled at Ohio State on Oct. 23.
The game at Maryland, originally scheduled for Oct. 2, was moved to Oct. 30 in College Park. The game at Michigan, originally scheduled for Oct. 9, will now be played at Michigan on Nov. 6.
IU’s game against Michigan State was moved up from No. 13 to Oct. 16. The game against Rutgers was moved back to Nov. 13. The Hoosiers’ bye week is now Oct. 9.
