Residential Program Services employees work as cashiers in the food court located in Wright Quad. Any meal points students still have in their accounts for the 2019-20 contract, which goes through May 9, 2020, will be valid through May 8, 2021, according to an email sent to students Wednesday.

IU Dining said in an email Wednesday that it plans to partly compensate students in response to campus shutting down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Any meal points students still have in their accounts for the 2019-20 contract, which goes through May 9, 2020, will be valid through May 8, 2021. When students return to campus in the fall, IU Dining will add additional I-BUCKS to their accounts. This addition will be 5% of the I-BUCKS that are still in the student’s account May 10.

This means that if a student has 100 I-BUCKS in their account May 10, an additional five I-BUCKS would be added to their plan.

Students not returning in the fall, including students who will graduate this spring, can petition to have their remaining I-BUCKS credited to their bursar account. The credit will first cover unpaid charges on their account. If there are no charges on their bursar account, the money will be refunded on the first day of the fall semester.

The deadline to submit a petition is Aug. 3.
