Bloomington man arrested on marijuana, paraphernalia possession, intimidation charges

A 43-year-old Bloomington man was arrested Monday on the preliminary charges of intimidation, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He walked into the Bloomington Police Department and police arrested him.

BPD received a call Monday afternoon from a woman alleging Christopher Gray threatened to stab her near the Atlas Bar. Pedigo said the woman who filed the complaint said she saw Gray near the B-Line Trail.

He allegedly began yelling obscenities at her and threatened her with what appeared to be a pocket knife, Pedigo said.

“You like this knife?” Gray allegedly said. “I bet it will feel good deep in your chest, you bitch.”

As she called the police, Gray began walking away, and she followed him. He walked into the Bloomington police station, Pedigo said, where police arrested him.

Gray admitted being in the area and having a knife, but said it was on the bench next to him, closed, police said.

He had two syringes and a smoking pipe with his belongings, police said. There was a burnt marijuana smell and residue on the pipe.

BPD also believe he’s related to another Monday call, from a 27-year-old man alleging a man fitting Gray’s description warned him if he wasn’t careful, he’d be “poked,” police said.
