Four people were arrested Saturday night after police found two handguns, alcohol and marijuana in a Read Hall room.
Indiana University Police Department officers received a report of the smell of marijuana from a residential assistant at Read, IUPD Capt. Craig Munroe said.
Officers said the four people in the room gave them permission to search it.
During the search, they found a .40-caliber pistol, a 9 mm pistol, alcohol and marijuana.
There was also ammunition found, but the guns weren't loaded.
Munroe said three of the people in the room were from out of town, and the guns belonged to them.
Senchelle Navarre, 18, was arrested on the preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, minor possession or consumption of alcohol and contributing to or delinquency of a minor. Munroe said she was a student.
Joey Perez, 18, was arrested on the preliminary charges of possession of marijuana, minor possession or consumption of alcohol, having a gun without a license and contributing to or delinquency of a minor.
Two others arrested were 17 and 15 years old.
