Barbara Bush, a former first lady of the United States and mother to another president, died Tuesday, according to a statement from the Office of George H. W. Bush. She was 92 years old.
During her lifetime, she was an advocate for family literacy, homeless, AIDS and volunteers programs according to the official White House website.
The funeral has not yet been scheduled, according to the release.
