The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for southern Monroe County.
The new warning is in effect until 2:15 p.m. Civilians are urged to remain indoors and away from windows to prevent injury from flying or falling debris.
A severe thunderstorm was located northwest of Bedford, Indiana at approximately 1:19 p.m., according to an email alert from IU. The storm may produce hail the size of quarters.
