Finals Week is quickly approaching, and many students are starting to feel the stress of trying to save grades and study for exams. In order to help people relax, many different organizations on campus organize de-stress events to help.

Counseling and Psychological Services provides different events during the week. Mindfulness Meditation meets Monday and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. and Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 3 p.m. to help students manage anxiety, pain and negative emotional states. Monday Motivation on Dec. 4 will teach about ways to sleep better. Web Wednesdays on iu.zoom.us at 4 p.m. every Wednesday has workshops on stress management and finals preparation.

The Asian Culture Center is offering Study and Soup Time for students from Dec. 4 to Dec. 7 where they will offer food and a place to study starting at noon until they run out of food.

La Casa Latino Cultural Center is offering free math and writing tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. They also hold the event Here and Now, a chance for students to talk to about anything happening in their lives.

This time of year can be extra stressful for some and students may need more help. CAPS offers every student two free counseling sessions. To make an appointment, students can call 812-855-5711.
