Academic orientations in various locations will be 3-4 p.m. Aug. 20. IU Culture Fest will then begin at 4:30 p.m. and last until 7 p.m. at the IU Auditorium.
The Taste of the Union will be from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Aug. 21. Job fairs, open houses, Rec Fest and Midnight Madness will also be highlight activities throughout the day. New Student Service Day will be Aug. 22, followed by a Welcome Week Block Party Concert and Carnival from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. The carnival is free from 5-8 p.m. Doors for the concert open at 6 p.m. with live shows featuring Capital Cities with special guests Adventure Club, Action Bronson and Phoebe Ryan.
