Saturday at about 6 p.m. an attempted residential entry occurred at Ashton Vos housing into an occupied dorm room.
The suspect is described as a 5’6” male wearing a red shirt and white hat, weighing approximately 130 pounds. The direction of his travel following the attempted entry is unknown. This is still an open case.
Erin Wilde and Luke Miller were the Ashton Residence Hall Center Desk supervisors on duty at the time of the incident. Miller and Wilde were not aware of the incident until the next morning when an IU Urgent Alert informed campus at about 7:16 a.m. The center desk supervisors would have liked to know what was going on, however, Miller and Wilde said.
Students are not required to reach out to center desk supervisors in case of an emergency.
