Sexual misconduct talked about on a bus ride

The Bloomington Police Department received a report from a child protective agency regarding sexual misconduct with a minor, according to Capt. Joe Qualters.

The complainant overheard a 26-year-old male passenger on a bus directing comments to a 16-year-old female passenger, Qualters said. The agency was first notified before notifying BPD ?officials.

The male suspect was allegedly making suggestive comments to the other passengers about the female, such as bragging about their sexual ?relationship.

BPD investigators interviewed the female, who denied any sexual relationship with the man. She said that the two ride the bus together often, ?Qualters said.

The case is still under investigation as detectives have not yet interviewed the 26-year-old man.
