From IDS reports
The Indiana State Police are searching for a man wanted in Monroe County.
ISP officers are looking for Tyler Verhines. Details on the warrant have not been released.
Verhines is a white man, 5-foot-8 and 161 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
At approximately 10:30 Friday morning, Verhines was driving a yellow Chevrolet Colbat traveling northbound on S.R. 37 at 89 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone. After officers activated their sirens, the car turned onto Acuff Road and drove eastbound.
The pursuit ended on Tunnel Road near Lake Lemon, where the driver left the Chevrolet Cobalt at a dead end. Master Trooper Todd Durnil and Indiana Conservation Officer Kerry Griffith were able to provide a description of the driver as he fled the scene.
An inventory of the vehicle produced an Identification Card that was issued to Verhines and matched the description of the suspected driver as given by the pursuing officers. Verhines, 23 of Bedford, Ind., was also found to be wanted on warrant on a previous charge of Resisting Law Enforcement in Lawrence County.
Anyone who sees him is asked to call the Indiana State Police's Bloomington post at 812-332-4411.
