The event will allow active duty members and their dependents to network with services and prospective employers , according to the ?department. The program will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. Nov. 13 at Ivy Tech Community College’s Hoosier Times Student Commons.
Deanna Pugh, director of Veterans Employment and Education, said the information and assistance provided at the event include VA benefits, claims processing, remission of fees and enrolling or returning to college.
In addition to program assistance, several organizations and companies will be on site looking to hire.
Cook Medical, Indiana State Police, United States Postal Service, Lowe’s and Duke Energy will be among the companies seeking employees at the event on ?Thursday.
Sessions designed to help attendees prepare for interviews and employee relationships will also be made available from 1:30 to ?2:30 p.m., according to the ?department.
