?ISP makes felony sexual misconduct arrest in Bloomington

The Indiana State Police responded to a Bloomington residence to investigate an alleged incident involving a Bloomington man and a 15 year old female Monday evening.

Joshua A. Wright, 28, of Bloomington, was arrested on two preliminary counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, a Level 4 felony, according to a press release from ISP.

When officers arrived, the parents said when they checked on their daughter in her bedroom, they discovered an unknown male in bed with her and found that both were not fully clothed.

The parents were able to keep the man from leaving the residence until troopers arrived.

The man had gained entry into the residence through the girl’s bedroom window. The two had met on Facebook on Sunday night, according to the release.

The investigation revealed the two had allegedly had sexual intercourse before the girl’s parents checked her room.

Wright was transported to the Monroe County Jail.

If convicted, a Level 4 felony carries a penalty of between two and 12 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 in the state of Indiana.
