BPD responds to reports of sexual assault

Bloomington police responded to a report of a sexual assault at approximately 11:45 p.m. June 8.

A 23-year-old female said she had been touched inappropriately as she got out of her car at the Parkview apartments near 1700 North Walnut Street.

She described the suspect as a white man who is about 5-foot-10. She also said he was wearing a light-colored striped shirt with a dark colored undershirt.

Police immediately searched the area after the incident was reported, but they failed to locate the suspect.

A woman reported a sexual assault to Bloomington police that occurred on June 7.

A 41-year-old female said she was walking in a wooded area near the 900 block of South Rogers Street when she was grabbed, according to police.

A black male in his late 40s reportedly assaulted her in the late afternoon around 4 p.m. She reported that he was tall and had little or no hair.

The case is still active, and police have not yet located the suspect.
