Freshman forward Collin Hartman is out indefinitely after injuring his right knee during a workout Saturday, according to a university release. He will undergo evaluation in the next 24 hours.
IU Coach Tom Crean broke the news on Twitter at 5:54 p.m. on Twitter.
"Collin Hartman planted his leg wrong in a drill and hurt his knee," he tweeted. "The news is not good in that he has a Torn ACL and we are waiting to make sure that's all."
Crean said Hartman has shown improvement in practice.
"This is a setback for him," he said. "Collin has a strong future with us and his summer will take a different turn. He is in great hands with this Medical staff."
The freshman played in 16 games this season, averaging 4.5 minutes per game and scoring 11 total points.
