A woman reported Sunday morning that she was raped near an unspecified bar in downtown Bloomington, Bloomington Police Department Sgt. George Connolly said.
The survivor, a woman about 20-years-old, informed another of the incident, who then notified the BPD at 3:06 a.m., shortly after the crime occurred.
The survivor met an unidentified man at an unspecified bar. He reportedly raped her in a secluded area nearby.
BPD also received a report of sexual battery last Saturday. The crime reportedly occurred a year ago on the north side of Bloomington and the survivor is a juvenile.
The survivor, a woman of unspecified age, told her parents that a man grabbed her inappropriately and asked her to undress.
The suspect has not been identified and the investigation
remains active.
