Fraternity suspended pending hazing investigation

IU suspended the Zeta Epsilon Chapter Charter for Omega Psi Phi Fraternity effective immediately.

Omega Psi Phi is facing suspension for allegedly participating in hazing, a violation of the Student Code of Conduct, and is prohibited from hosting, attending, participating and sponsoring any organizational activities until the final disposition of the case, according to a press release.

The fraternity is small, with only three members and three pledges, Vice President of University Communications Mark Land said in an email.

The fraternity’s national headquarters has been contacted as well, he said.
