Indiana Works raises over $1 million for Pence inaugural weekend

Last week, Indiana Works announced it raised $1,087,493.65 as of Feb. 14 for the inaugural weekend activities and transition expenses.

Indiana Works, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to “the common good and general welfare of the people of the State of Indiana,” according to its website.

The organization worked to make the inaugural weekend a participatory experience for all Indiana residents.

“Hoosiers from all corners of the state participated in the inaugural weekend activities, and we appreciate the financial support of all those who contributed to our efforts,” Indiana Works President Bob Grand said.

Last week, Indiana Works announced a $100,000 contribution to the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund. This donation came from a portion of the proceeds raised by the organization.

The remaining funds will be used to close out activities related to the inaugural weekend.

The funds will also pay for ongoing transition expenses, according to the press release.
