Young defeats Yoder for 9th district

Indiana’s 9th congressional district will go to Republican incumbent Rep. Todd Young.

As of about 10:30 p.m., 57.6 percent of the votes in the 9th District went to Young, with 42.2 percent of votes going to Democratic candidate Shelli Yoder, according to the New York Times. 

Young, 40, said he aims to remove job creation barriers by erasing fears about future interest rates, tax liabilities and health care costs. He said he hopes to reform the tax code and health care.
