Kelley’s MBA program climbs 4 spots in latest Businessweek rankings

Kelley School of Business’ Master of Business Administration program ranked No. 15 in Bloomberg Businessweek’s most recent survey of more than 100 MBA programs across the United States, Europe and Asia, released online Nov. 14.

This year’s ranking is four spots higher than Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2010 ranking. The magazine conducts the survey every two years.

Graduating students as well as corporate recruiters  input was used to calculate the ratings, according to a press release.

According to the press release, Kelley ranked No. 1 in career services, teaching quality and student satisfaction.

“We’re delighted to climb in the Bloomberg Businessweek rankings,”  Chair of Kelley’s MBA Program and marketing professor Jonlee Andrews said in the press release. “Most important to us are our No. 1 rankings in student satisfaction, career services and teaching. This reflects the fact that faculty, staff and students work together as a team to create great outcomes for our students.”

In Bloomberg Businessweek’s “Students Rate the Program” portion of the survey, the program received an “A+” rating in all five categories: career services, teaching, critical thinking, leadership and classmates.

The Kelley school was one of five universities to receive “A+” ratings across all the categories.

Both the Kelley School’s graduate and undergraduate programs have been featured consistently in the magazine’s surveys, according to the press release.

“For many years, Kelley has been thought of as a hidden gem among business schools,” Interim Dean Idalene Kesner said in the press release. “These rankings will serve to take the ‘hidden’ out of that phrase.”
