Attorney General Candidate (Incumbent)
Zoeller graduated in 1982 from IU Maurer School of Law.
From 1989-91, he served as an assistant to Vice President Dan Quayle in the White House. His other government experience includes serving as a special assistant to U.S. Attorney General Richard Thornburg in 1988. He also served as senior council to the House of Representatives Committee on Government Reform and Oversight in 1998.
Zoeller was elected Indiana’s 42nd attorney general in 2008. He served as the chief deputy to his predecessor, Steve Carter, from 2001-08.
Zoeller serves in a national leadership position as a member of the Consumer Protection Committee for the National Association of Attorneys General. He also serves on the U.S. Department of Justice Executive Working Group to develop collaboration and coordination of state and federal criminal justice agencies.
