Hummus Dip
Ingredients
- 1 16-ounce can of chickpeas
- 1/4 cup of chickpea juice from can
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 3 tablespoons of lemon juice
- Purée chickpeas in a blender.
- Add in the olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice.
- Add your choice of seasonings if you’re feeling creative.
- Enjoy with veggie sticks or pita bread.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of sweet peas, cooked until skin is tender, and shocked in cold water (frozen peas may be used in a pinch)
- 1 jalapeño, roughly chopped
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon of ginger, minced
- 1/2 bunch of mint leaves
- 10 basil leaves
- 5 sprigs of cilantro
- 1/2 package of silken tofu
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Favorite hot sauce as needed
- Purée all ingredients, except the seasonings, together in a blender or food processor until smooth.
- Season to taste with salt, pepper, and hot sauce.
- Serve as a dip or sandwich spread.
