City names sports, facility coordinator

The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department announced that Jeigh Hockersmith is the new sports and facility coordinator.

“We are pleased to welcome Jeigh to Bloomington,” sports facility supervisor Tim Fulton said in a press release. “Jeigh brings a great deal of experience in youth sports management and coaching to the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department. Her customer service and management skills are ideally suited to serving our youth sports enthusiasts.”

Hochersmith previously worked at the Boys and Girls Club of Montgomery County in Crawfordsville, Ind., where she was involved with the youth sports program at that facility and has coached various youth basketball teams during the past 10 years. She played basketball at Anderson University and graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in health and fitness.

“I’m thrilled to be in Bloomington,” Hockersmith said in a press release. “I am very excited to be part of such an amazing team at the Parks and Recreation Department. I feel extremely blessed to be part of such a great community.”
