Halftime: IU 41 VCU 42

Despite shooting 55.2 percent (16-of-29) from the floor, the IU men’s basketball team is trailing the Virginia Commonwealth Rams 42-41 at the half.

The No. 4 Hoosiers have been led by junior forward Christian Watford, scored eight straight points to end the half and cut the deficit to one.

The No.-12-seeded Rams have made a living off forcing turnovers and have done so tonight. IU turned the ball over 10 times in the first half, but the Hoosiers still moved the ball and finished the half with 10 assists.

VCU has relied on the 3-pointer to fuel its offensive attack. Despite averaging just 7.4 made 3-pointers per game, the Rams have already buried five from deep. Senior guard Bradford Burgess has led that attack with three triples.
