Bloomington woman found with lacerations, cocaine

Residents of West Marlene Drive called the Bloomington Police Department at 11:54 p.m. Saturday after hearing an argument at their neighbors’ home.

When police arrived, three individuals were leaving in a white 2008 Chevrolet, BPD Lt. Bill Parker said.

“They appeared to be impaired,” he said.

Police asked Lisa Dalton, 38, the owner and driver of the car, if they could search the vehicle. She consented, and the passengers, Faith Butcher, 26, and William Bolton, 31, exited the car.

Butcher and Bolton were the two involved in the disturbance that motivated the original call, Parker said.

Police observed lacerations on Butcher’s neck, but she told them she couldn’t remember how she had gotten them. She consented to the search of her purse.

Police found a syringe and a smoking device with marijuana residue in Butcher’s purse, Parker said. They also found a brown gel, which she admitted was cocaine.

“Ms. Butcher stated that she’s been using both meth and cocaine for several weeks,” Parker said.

Police called an ambulance to treat Butcher’s wounds, but she refused treatment once it arrived. She was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of paraphernalia.
