Students found publicly indecent under BHSN stairwell

Administrators at Bloomington High School North allegedly found two students, a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, engaging in sexual activity under a stairwell in the school.

The Bloomington Police Department report did not specify the type of sexual activity.

BPD Sgt. Steve Kellams said administrators called officers to the scene, and the individuals were escorted off school grounds at about 4:48 p.m. Wednesday.

"School is out at that time, but there's so much still happening after school that it's still pretty busy," Kellams said.

The students could potentially be placed on probation for public indecency and indecent exposure, though it's more likely the school will handle the issue internally, Kellams said.
